From August 1st until September 1st, the Cafeteria here at Coticule.be will be closed. All threads and posts will be read-only during this period.
The reason for this vacation is threefold:
First of all, it is a prime concern of the Associates of Coticule.be that a friendly and sincere atmosphere rules on our forum, where our members can assist and support each other in mutual hobbies. In as much as our amazing community of Coticule users is not self-supporting, the associates try to see to it that no questions remain unanswered, no problems unaddressed.
Obviously, this requirs a daily follow up of the entire forum, which is no small task. It is also an enslaving one, in the addictive sense of that word. By taking a month's leave, we hope that our associates - and their house mates - can catch a bit of fresh air.
Secondly, we hope to keep our forum free from the navel-gazing mentality, that lures just around the corner, by kicking you all out for the duration of a month.
And finally, to those of you who hone razors and/or other tools daily, or almost daily, - we know you exist -: we warmly recommend to take this opportunity and explore new horizons.
Shake loose all obsesses and compulsive tendencies! Build a boat and go fishing! Grow a beard! Take your children to the zoo! Cook a candlelight dinner for the wife! Learn your dog a new trick!
And put those stones away. They deserve a break too.
On behalf of the associates of Coticule.be,
Bart.

Then the light shone, trumpets sounded and I got to the other side, where men shave with smiles on their faces, razors pop hairs, and a continuous choir singing «~~Keen and Smooth~~» is heard everywhere. (Matt)

I'm going to take the opportunity to teach my bunny new tricks. Is it okay that he's from Belgium too?

As long as you don't learn him how to hone razors...

By which time zone are you going to determine the start of the break?
Just asking,
not that I am planning to check/post anything at the last moment ...

We're not that organized. I'll turn off the lights at some point during August 1st, and turn them back on at some point during September 1st.
Kind regards,
Bart.

This vacation is a wonderful idea. This site will be a better place because of it and some other shaving forums will sink deeper into hell...
All is well.

I don't post much but I read here all the time. I'll miss you guys during the break. I wonder if anyone will find a new obsession (hobby) and never come back here again?
